UNIVERSITY INTRODUCTION
UNIVERSITY OF EAST ASIS
University of East Asia was founded in 1966 and has been the only private comprehensive
university in the Yamaguchi prefecture with faculties of humanities, social sciences,
and natural sciences. The university especially aims to provide opportunities
for students to acquire a specialized skill through interdisciplinary and international
education curriculums. Also, during the college life, students are demanded to learn
the spirit of working hard for others. In addition, the Graduate School of Integrated
Science and Art was founded in 1992.
Today, our university consists of 3 faculties and 7 departments:
Faculty of Human Sciences (Department of Humanities and Social Sciences,
Department of Clinical Psychology and Child Development Studies, and Department
of Sports and Health Sciences), Faculty of Medical Technology (Department of Nutrition
Management and Department of Medical Engineering),
and Faculty of Arts (Department of Art and Design and Department of Total Beauty).
As of 2019, 924 undergraduate students and 187 graduate students belong to our university
to pursue their dreams.
